Description
Upper Deck’s Arm Care Program is designed to help players throw more efficiently by developing ideal movement patterns and sequencing. This leads to healthier arms and, in many cases, increased velocity.
It’s important to note that proper movement is only one factor that can contribute to velocity gains. Another key component is strength and conditioning (S&C). While Upper Deck’s Arm Care Program includes elements of S&C, for a complete program please contact Jason Dowse, Upper Deck’s strength coach, at info@prostrength.ca.
The program is suitable for both pitchers and position players who want to improve arm health and throwing velocity. Each plan is tailored to a player’s physical maturity to ensure the workload is appropriate.
Depending on the athlete, the program may include the use of overload (heavier) and underload (lighter) balls. However, the primary emphasis remains on movement patterning and sequencing.
The program runs for seven weeks, beginning in early November and ending just before Christmas. In 2025, it will run from the week of November 3 to December 15, with three sessions per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) at 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. — for a total of 21 sessions.
The cost of the program is $400 plus HST. This does not include a training kit (overload and underload balls). If you need a kit, please email lead instructor Frank Fascia at frankf@upperdeckbaseball.ca.
